Ondřej Vajgl

Originally trained as a technical glassmaker. He tried other professions, but eventually after all, returned to his field and since 1995 he works only as an art glassmaker. For several years he is working in his own studio in Úvaly near Prague. His work focuses mainly on figural glass sculptures, which stands out in particular, creativity, attention to detail and interesting form processing. The result of his artistic work is delicate beauty, which certainly encourages (acting on) our imagination and found its admirers, not only here but all over the world. Glass sculptures are made from borosilicate glass, drawn glass technique. It is hand made production, in which each piece is original and is not created by any form or castings. Sculptures are made clear, gold-plated, colored North Star glass or possible a combination of gold-plating and coloring. For years of artist's experience, fifteen years of progressive refinement and testing techniques, achieve only perfect, but especially true shapes as you can see from the photos.
